Polishing & Sealing

When they are newly laid there is nothing better than the clean lines of a polished or honed stone floor, however over time the shine dulls, the grouting gets dirty and the whole "clean and fresh" effect is lost. At Lionheart we are able to fully restore almost any type of stone flooring to an "as new" condition. This includes deep cleaning of the stone and grouting, removal of old polish and sealers, diamond polishing and grinding of the stone to give a high or medium gloss finish, honing of the stone if a more matt finish is preferred and application of an impregnating sealer to protect the stone and grouting from staining. The type of flooring we can treat in this way includes marble, limestone, travertine, sandstone, slate, porcelain, concrete and granite.

Manmade Floor Types

Generally with manmade floor types there is not a requirement to polish or grind the floor to give the desired finish, with these flooring we will deep clean the floor and grouting, strip off any old lacquers and reapply a hard wearing surface (topical) lacquer to the floor. These include such floor types as terracotta, ceramic tiles, amtico, karndean, marmoleum, thermoplastic tiles and safety flooring.
